There were just over 900,000 Chinese visitors to the USA in 2010.
The overall rate of increase in travelling internationally is currently running at 20% and with 28 International airports currently under construction in China, the numbers will continue to increase dramatically.
Between January and November 2010 there were 742,900 visitors to the US, an increase of 58% on 2009.
The visitors were :-
63% male so 37% female
Average age 38 for males, 37 for females
Average family income in 2009: $60,500
Reason for trip in 2009: 45% business, 26% visiting relatives or friends, 13% recreation, 8% cultural exchange studies
41% visiting for the first time (for most destinations the figure is 70% first timers)
59% were visiting for the 2+ time
